Jamie Foxx refutes conspiracy theory claiming Diddy Combs tried to kill him
Following a serious stroke and widespread speculation, Jamie Foxx debunked false claims linking Diddy to an attempt on his life, sharing details about his health crisis and hospital experience.

In 2023, Jamie Foxx faced a serious health crisis that left fans and the public concerned about his well-being. During the period of uncertainty, numerous rumors circulated online, including wild conspiracy theories involving fellow entertainer Diddy Combs.
Recently, Foxx spoke out against these unfounded accusations in an open interview and dismissed any rumors that Diddy was somehow involved in the conspiracy. Foxx also discussed the experience of a stroke and the challenges of his recovery.
Jamie Foxx denies false theories about Diddy Combs
In 2023, Jamie Foxx got a major health scare, which ultimately was revealed to be a stroke. During the months of uncertainty around his health scare, many rumors were surfacing on social media and many of them were untrue, including false allegations and claims involving Diddy.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, with Hasan Minhaj, Chelsea Handler, Roy Wood Jr., Seth Meyers, and a few other talented friends, Foxx firmly denied conspiracy theories that Diddy was trying to have him killed.
“I’m in f—ing perfect shape. [I saw things like,] ‘Puffy tried to kill me.’ No, Puffy didn’t try to kill me. When they said I was a clone, that made me flip,” he said. “I’m sitting in the hospital bed, like, ‘These b—h-a– motherf—ers are trying to clone me.'”

The 57-year-old disclosed that he had been sedated quite heavily while in the hospital and has lost recollection of a couple of weeks time. He smuggled in a cell phone, and was able to see the crazy lies going around about his condition.
“I was doing so many jokes in the hospital,” he continued. “That’s the only way I could get through it. I’m a comic, so even when I was heavily sedated, and they gave me OxyContin, Dilantin and morphine at the same time.”
Foxx previously addressed the rumors of Diddy having him killed and his friendship with the Bad Boy mogul during his What Had Happened Was Netflix special in December.
“The internet said Puffy was trying to kill me, that’s what the internet was saying,” he said. “I know what you thinking, ‘Diddy?’ Hell no, I left them parties early.”

In April 2023, Foxx’s daughter said her father was in the hospital for a “medical complication” he suffered while filming the Netflix movie Back in Action in Atlanta with Cameron Diaz.
Now, Jamie Foxx clarified that after “aving a “bad headache,” he had a stroke caused by a “brain bleed.” A nurse told him he had only a five percent chance of surviving the medical complication.
The Oscar-winning actor spent nearly a month in the hospital while doctors did hundreds of tests and watched his health closely. He said in front of the crowd at his Netflix special that he was “an inch from ”is life,” as he dealt with the health scare.
As for Diddy Combs is currently on trial in his sex trafficking and racketeering case, which is expected to go into July. If he is convicted on all charges, he faces life in prison.
