Diddy paid $100,000 to hide Cassie Ventura's agression tape, security guard said
Eddy Garcia testified that Combs paid him in 2016 to delete a video of an attack on Cassie Ventura personally

Eddy Garcia, a 33-year-old security guard, testified on Tuesday that former producer Sean "Diddy" Combs paid him $100,000 back in 2016 to delete the videotape that shows Combs attacking his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Garcia worked at the hotel at that time and was approached by the hip-hop mogul himself.
According to the security guard, Combs refers to him as "Eddy my angel," because the producer knew that a copy of that video would ruin his career. Garcia even showed a signed confidentiality agreement, in which he committed not to make copies of the tape or show it to anyone, given by Combs' staff.
How did Combs pay the security guard?
On March 5, 2016, the aggression day, Garcia received a call from Kristina Khorram, asking if there was any way to obtain a copy of the tape. He said he answered no and denied having a meeting with her later that day. At night, Khorram called him again and passed the phone to Diddy. The security guard heard the producer sounding nervous and told him that the tape could ruin him.
After that, Garcia's boss agreed to sell the tape. He met with Combs' staff, gave them the storage unit information, and received a paper bag with $100,000. He also complained about how he could be implicated in a police investigation. Diddy immediately called Cassie to make sure she did not want to press charges for assault, because she was working on a film and that scandal could affect her career.

How did the security tape end up on CNN?
Despite this, the security footage ended up on CNN, aired last year. Garcia was not involved, since another security guard testified that he recorded the video on his phone. After showing it to his wife, they decided to send the material to CNN.
That footage is the main evidence against the producer, as Cassie Ventura is known as Victim 1 in court. This is the second month of Diddy's trial, where he is facing charges of sexual abuse and physical aggression against former staff members, including assistants.
