Attention iPhone Users! Apple announces iOS26
Apple unveils iOS 26 during WWDC 2025, an update that includes enhancements to CarPlay, Apple Music and Wallet, as well as Apple Games.

In the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025, the technology company announced a number skip in their iPhone system. iOS 19 is now iOS 26, a new number that will match the year of release.
This update brings new features in CarPlay, Apple Music, Maps, and Wallet, as well as Apple Games, the newest app that gives players a single destination for all their games. Let's review some new aspects of iOS 26.

New features in the new iOS system
Apple Intelligence gives a new way to interact during FaceTime. Live Translation is integrated into Messages, FaceTime, and Phone to help users talk across languages. Another function implemented is that you can interact with what you are looking at on the screen across apps, from ChatGPT to Google. In Messages, users now can filter their chats with unknown senders and then review them if they know the sender.
CarPlay now offers a beautiful and easy-to-use design. Now you can see an incoming call without missing Maps information. Apple Music now presents AutoMix, a transition tool that changes between songs like a DJ, using time stretching and beat matching. Browsing in Safari gets even more private and parents can now create Child Accounts to protect their children while using an iPhone.

New design: Apple Liquid Glass
Apple is also introducing Liquid Glass design across its software platforms. Now, in-app interfaces across iOS 26, and its models in iPads, Macs, Tahoe, Apple Watch, and Apple TV are now having transparency and glass shine effects to Apple's in-app interfaces. That design improves what you see on screen and makes it more interactive with other apps.
Liquid Glass uses real-time rendering, and it reacts to movement. Apple redesigned its controls, toolbars, and navigation within apps to fit this new identity. It is inspired by the Liquid Glass used in Tahoe 26. These new changes will apply in 2026, and they could add more features during this waiting time.
