Jed "The Fish" Gould, one of the most influential figures in Los Angeles radio, has passed away at the age of 69.
The legendary DJ, who spent nearly 35 years at KROQ-FM, was beloved by listeners for his wit, humor, and eccentric on-air persona. His career included interviews with prominent artists and a distinctive broadcasting style that resonated with many listeners.

Jed the Fish joined KROQ as a DJ in 1978 and started the radio's reputation as a prime station for alternative, punk rock, and new wave music. He became a synonym of KROQ radio station and was very beloved by fans for his personality.
Gould was not only a radio DJ, he was also Billboard Modern Rock Personality of the Year award winner. At the same time, he was also recognized as the Radio & Records Local Modern Rock Personality of the Year.
