Venezuelan president said that U.S. are responsable for Colombian crisis
Since last weekend, Colombia has been facing serious incidents, including 17 bombings that have left at least eight dead in Cali. In addition, presidential candidate Miguel Uribe was the victim of an attack.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro spoke about an "international conspiracy" orchestrated by the U.S. to "overthrow" Colombian President Gustavo Petro. According to Maduro, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio is the leader of the "master plan" that is fueling armed violence and chaos in Colombia.
Since last weekend, Colombia has been facing an increase in violence, including multiple bomb attacks and the shooting of a senator. Miguel Uribe, a presidential candidate, was the target on Saturday when he was attacked in an attempted murder, followed by 17 bomb attacks that left at least eight dead in Cali.
What did Nicolas Maduro said?
During a press conference, Maduro stated that the violence aims to create a sense of ungovernability, weakening the credibility of Colombian national authorities. Neither Marco Rubio nor the U.S. State Department has commented or provided an official response to these accusations that has no evidence.
"You see what is happening in Colombia, don't you? They have activated a plan to overthrow the government of President Gustavo Petro. It is a plan that is being directed by Marco Rubio, from the United States, and its purpose is to fill all of Colombia with criminal gangs, criminal violence, and terrorism, in order to overthrow the progressive government of President Gustavo Petro," Maduro said.

Maduro called for an enforcement in the border
On this situation, President Maduro called for stronger enforcement in the Zulia state, which is located on the border between the two nations, due to the violence happening there. He also stated that 30 tons of drugs have been seized at the border coming from Colombia, although he did not specify if this was for this year.
Meanwhile, Cali Mayor Alejandro Eder received a hundred new police officers in his state due to the increase in violence. Another 21 attacks were registered in those days, affecting the Cauca and Valle del Cauca departments. Colombian authorities have attributed these attacks to the FARC.
