Musk and Trump exchange barbs over spending bill
Donald Trump and Elon Musk's disagreement started when the spending bill, nicknamed by the president as "big and beauiful", had moved on to the next phase. On June 4, Musk took to social media to say he "can't stand it anymore" and qualified the bill as "massive, outrageous, pork-filled disgusting abomination".
While on a previous interview he had stated mild disagreement over the bill saying "a bill can be big or can be beautiful; I just don't know if it can be both"; Trump stated that Elon Musk knew about the bill and "had no problem with it."
