The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has intensified its efforts to combat crime and illegal immigration. As part of this initiative, the agency has released a list of its most wanted criminals, which includes their names, photographs, physical descriptions, and criminal backgrounds.

This list is divided into three categories: "Detention and Deportation," "National Security Investigations," and "Human Trafficking/Smuggling," with the goal of aiding in the identification and capture of individuals who pose a threat to public safety. Additionally, ICE is asking for the public’s help in reporting any information about their whereabouts.

Who are the most wanted criminals by ICE in the U.S.?

ICE prioritizes the detention of individuals deemed dangerous, including criminals with histories of violence, drug trafficking, and human smuggling. Among the most wanted are:

  • Joaquín Guzmán López: The son of Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, he is wanted for his involvement in the production and distribution of drugs. Along with his brother Ovidio Guzmán, he oversees at least 11 methamphetamine labs in Sinaloa, Mexico. It’s estimated that they produce between 3,000 and 5,000 pounds of this drug per month, which is trafficked to the U.S. and Canada. In 2018, a federal court in Washington, D.C. charged him with conspiracy to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana.
  • Mario Antúnez Sotelo: Wanted for his role in a human trafficking ring operating in San Diego, California. In 2006, he was linked to smuggling undocumented immigrants into the U.S. and forcing them to work under threats. In 2007, a court in Southern California issued a warrant for his arrest. He is considered dangerous due to his possession of firearms.
  • Julián Bocanegra Lupián: A Mexican national with a serious criminal history. In 1993, he was sentenced to life in prison for homicide and deported to Mexico in 2012 after serving part of his sentence. However, he reentered the U.S. illegally and was deported again in 2019. Now, ICE is seeking him, as reports suggest he may have returned to the country unlawfully.
  • Joselit De La Trinidad Ramírez Camacho: A Venezuelan official accused of violating U.S. sanctions related to drug trafficking and money laundering. He is suspected of coordinating travel and illicit financial operations linked to the government of Nicolás Maduro. The State Department is offering up to $5 million for information leading to his capture. He was last seen in Caracas, Venezuela.

How to report information about these criminals to ICE

ICE has set up a national hotline at 1-866-DHS-2-ICE for anyone to provide information on the fugitives' whereabouts. Reports can also be submitted through their official website.

Public cooperation is essential in the capture of these individuals and in preventing crimes that threaten national security.
